ABI/INFORM Global (Proquest) is one of the most comprehensive business databases on the market. Users can find out about business conditions, management techniques, business trends, management practice and theory, corporate strategy and tactics, and competitive landscape.

Business and Management Practices. (Business Management) Practical aspects and approaches to business management.

Centra Online catalog of books, videos and other materials including titles of journals owned by Central Michigan University.

IBIS World USA  Contains industry market reports, detailed company and industry data, business economic indicators, statistical analysis and forecasts, demographics, key factors impacting companies and business, and industry risk ratings.

Lexis Nexis Business:

Company Profiles provides company reports of US public and private companies, as well as international companies.

Corporate Affliations: "Who Owns Whom"

Mergent Online provides advanced searching by company names, executives, Edgar/SEC filings and other criteria to create specific reports.

Mintel Market Reports offers you a new understanding of all the major food and drink, consumer goods, retail, finance, leisure and travel markets. Mintel is also renowned for our research into changing consumer lifestyles and the implications for business.

Public Administration Abstracts includes public administration research, public administration theory, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline.

Social Sciences Abstracts(SocSciAbs) indexes journals in a range of social science disciplines, including: political science, law, psychology, anthropology, geography, sociology and economics.

Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage is a comprehensive source of business and investment information, offering on-line access to popular Standard & Poor's research products such as Industry Surveys, Stock Reports, Corporation Records, The Register of Corporations, Directors and Executives, The Outlook, Mutual Fund Reports among others.

While Thomson Research is best known for its leading investment research, they offer the widest breadth of company research available with global filings, annual reports and market research studies.

Valueline is a "comprehensive source of information on approximately 1,700 companies in 97 industries, the stock market, and the economy."

Wilson Business Index gives access to feature articles, product evaluations, interviews, biographical sketches, corporate profiles, obituaries, surveys, statistical rankings, book reviews, reports from associations, societies, trade shows and conferences, and more.

AnnualReports.com AnnualReports.com provides instant access to corporate annual reports in their actual format in one single location.

EDGAR:  Security & Exchange Commission Financial Information:  All companies, foreign and domestic  are required to file registration statements and other financial forms electronically through EDGAR.

Hoover’s Online: Comprehensive company, industry, and market research information.  Free content access is limited.  A list of the current Fortune 500 with links to their home pages is included.  A better source is the S&P Netadvantage.

Michigan Small Business Development Center: Designed as an aid to persons looking to start a small business, the site provides publications and links to web sites on counseling, training services, government, business, international trade and Michigan sites and information on research conducted by the Center.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS):  The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS, pronounced Nakes) was developed as the standard for use by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the collection, analysis, and publication of statistical data related to the business economy of the U.S.

Occupational Outlook Handbook The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives.

 O*net Online system serves as the nation's primary source of occupational information, providing comprehensive information on key attributes and characteristics of workers and occupations.

Standard Industry Classification (SIC): Use this index to find SIC codes that correspond to different products and services. You can search by keyword or by typing an SIC number to retrieve the appropriate descriptor for the number.

OSHA’s home page features links to compliance assistance, OSHA laws and regulations. their enforcement, cooperative programs, state programs, safety & health topics and statistics

SHRM: The web site of the Society for Human Resource Management, which is the world's largest association deveoted to human resource management.

Consumer Price Indexes: The Consumer Price Indexes (CPI) program produces monthly data on changes in the prices paid by urban consumers for a representative basket of goods and services.
