Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ): The Nation's lead Federal agency for research on health care quality, costs, outcomes, and patient safety.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – Data and Statistics: Links to CDC reports and guidelines, scientific data on diseases, and various health databases.

CRS Reports in Health Law & Policy: Non-partisan and in-depth legislative research and analysis by the Congressional Research Service. Hosted by the Thurgood Marshall Law Library.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services: (CMS) is a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CMS runs the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

HealthGrades: HealthGrades is the leading healthcare ratings organization, providing ratings and profiles of hospitals, nursing homes and physicians to consumers, corporations, health plans and hospitals.

Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO): The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits health care organizations and programs in the United States.
