PsycINFO : Contains international psychology information, including education-related information, including dissertations, book chapters, peer reviewed articles, and reports.

Social Sciences Abstracts:   Indexes journals in a range of social science disciplines, including: political science, law, psychology, anthropology, geography, sociology and economics

Medline: Indexes journals in all areas of medicine.

PubMed: "PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources. "

 

Organizations

American Counseling Association: The American Counseling Association is a not-for-profit, professional and educational organization that is dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession.

American Psychological Association: One of the best sources for psychology association and professional news, information on research, books, education, conventions, and employment. Current and some past table of contents of all of the APA journals are available. Also included are "Manuscript Submission Information" for each APA journal. The full text of some newsletters are available.

American School Counselor Association: The mission of ASCA is to represent professional school counselors and to promote professionalism and ethical practices. This link connects to the ethical standards for school counselors.

National Association of School Psychologists: Effective partners in the commitment to help school children and youth achieve their best in school, at home, in life.

National Institute of Mental Health: "The largest scientific organization in the world dedicated to research focused on the understanding, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders and the promotion of mental health".

American Art Therapy Association: An organization of professionals dedicated to the belief that the creative process involved in art making is healing and life enhancing. Provides standards of professional competence, and develops and promotes knowledge in, and of, the field of art therapy.

American Music Therapy Association: The mission of the American Music Therapy Association is to advance public awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increase access to quality music therapy services in a rapidly changing world.

Buros Institute of Mental Measurements: Over 4,000 free test listings. Reviews require purchase. You may order reviews (only if you have citations) free from the OCLS Document Delivery Office.

Celebrities in Cognitive Science: Writings by and about leading thinkers in cognitive science, and critics and observers of the philosophy of mind.

Classics in the History of Psychology: An effort to make the full texts of a large number of historically significant public domain documents from the scholarly literature of psychology and allied disciplines available on the World Wide Web.

Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs: CACREP was created in 1981 to be the independent accrediting arm for the American Counseling Association, a membership organization for over 50,000 practicing counselors.  From its inception, CACREP has provided an effective measure of quality assurance for counselor preparation programs.

National Career Development Association: NCDA is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The mission of NCDA is to promote the career development of all people over the life span. To achieve this mission, NCDA provides service to the public and professionals involved with or interested in career development, including professional development activities, publications, research, public information, professional standards, advocacy, and recognition for achievement and service. Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing: Search the full text of 18 psychoanalytic journals which are updated monthly. Includes full text of the 24 volumes of Freud's "Complete Psychological Works."

Psychology Glossary: An easy to understand glossary using examples and descriptions written in "regular" English.
